Plotting It All Out

So I've been thinking hard about my story for the past week or so. Whoever said writing is not hard work has obviously not written more than his/her name. But, I'm almost done plotting the whole four-book series out. At least in my head. The truth is, once there's direction, making everything up is pretty fun.
As for the rewriting itself, I've caught up to where I left off. I've nineteen chapters. I was on chapter ten when I realized that I needed to spread out the action. As one friend gently put it: everything seems to happen at the end. And although I think I do a pretty good job of setting everything up, my main character has to take a couple of more turns before Chapter 12, the point of no return.

Stumbling on a Blog

I am an official blogger! Who knew this would happen?

I hadn't really thought about it until last night. Well, no. It's been weeks, but you know how you find out about how other people are doing something and you make fun of them and even think, "I'm never going to do that! I'm too smart for that. Plus, I don't have time."

Well, I did say that. And I guess the smart thing's proven wrong, too. And although I still don't have the time--I'm a mother of three wonderful toddlers--I think I came make this work.

I don't expect anyone to comment. This is my blog about my journey into finishing and publishing my first novel and anything else relevant to my life. I've already wrote the novel, actually. I wrote down the last sentence on June 16, 2007, and I began to edit it soon after. And I'm still editing... and rewriting... and editing some more. But I do have a goal. This thing will be done by Easter. If not sooner. Promise.
